Amazon launched its Prime delivery service in India back in 2016 at an introductory price of Rs. 499. In 2017, it increased the subscription fee for its ‘Prime’ service to Rs. 999. After 4 years, the company is increasing the price of Amazon Prime subscription by Rs. 500 more, so it will soon cost Rs. 1499. Amazon says that it is running a limited-period offer that will let customers get Prime at old Rs. 999 price.
However, it did not share the exact end date of the limited period offer. Amazon confirmed that existing Prime members can continue their membership for the duration their membership plan is at the current price.
After the price change, you can choose to renew your membership at the new price, which is also applicable for its monthly and quarterly plans. The price will increase for customers who have joined Prime from mobile operators as well. You can check out the price change below.

Amazon said that the Prime youth offer will be applicable after the price change as well. This offers that is available for customers between the age of 18 to 24 years who signs up for the Annual Amazon Prime membership, (paid membership only) or 3-month paid Prime membership, and verifies her/ his age, will be provided cashback of Rs. 500 and Rs. 165, respectively.
