Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, has released their earnings report for the third quarter of 2021. According to it, the company earned $65.1 billion in revenue, which calculates to a YoY growth of 41%. The company had a net income of $18.93 billion, an operating income of $21 billion and its diluted Earnings Per Share was reported to be $27.99.
Nearly all services of Alphabet witnessed YoY growth during Q3 2021. Google Advertising earned the company $53.13 billion in total, which included $7.2 billion from YouTube ads alone. Google Cloud services earned $4.9 billion, while “Other bets” earned $182 billion. The total number of employees grew to 150,028.
Commenting on the report, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, said:
Five years ago, I laid out our vision to become an AI-first company. This quarter’s results show how our investments there are enabling us to build more helpful products for people and our partners. Ongoing improvements to Search, and the new Pixel 6, are great examples. And as the digital transformation and shift to hybrid work continue, our Cloud services are helping organizations collaborate and stay secure.
