Samsung announced that the successor to the I9000 Galaxy S – the I9100 Galaxy S II will be available to the customers in the UK for purchase starting from May 1st.
There was a lot of speculation surrounding the release date of the Galaxy S II. The release date varied from April-June depending on the retailer offering the product.
The rumours fired up again that the phone would be delayed after Samsung made the announcement that the processor would be upgraded to 1.2GHz.
But now Samsung have stepped up and officially announced that we will see the phone at stores in the UK on May 1st. Pricing is yet to be revealed but UK retailer Clove estimates it to be 528 GBP including VAT.
