WhatsApp said to be working on playback speeds for forwarded voice notes

Meta (previously Facebook) owned WhatsApp has been adding new features lately like end-to-end encrypted backups, iPhone to Android chat history transfer, and more. Following that, the company is now said to be working on expanding features to audio messages.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on bringing playback speed control feature (up to 2x) for forwarded voice messages, and it has been spotted on the iOS Beta app. Until now, users could adjust the playback speed for voice notes but looks like the feature is going to be expanded to forwarded voice notes soon as well.

With this upcoming feature, users will have more control over the forward voice messages. The feature is said to be in development still, and there is no timeline on when it will be rolled out for all iOS and Android users.
