Samsung Galaxy A53 5G with Exynos 1200, Mali-G68 GPU, Android 12 surfaces in benchmarks


Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, succesor to Galaxy A52 / A52s surfaced in renders last month. Now the benchmarks of the phone has surfaced in Geekbench listing revealing that it will pack upcoming Exynos 1200 SoC codenamed S5E8825. This reveals 6GB of RAM and Android 12.

It has 2 x prime cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and 6 x power efficient CPU cores clocked at 2.00 GHz per core and Mali-G68 GPU, according to the listing. This reveals a score of 690 points in the single-core test and 1,846 points in the multicore test.

In comparison, the OPPO Reno 6 5G powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 that has similar CPU and GPU specs scored 698 points in single core and 2127 points in Multi-core benchmark. The Galaxy A52s powered by Snapdragon 778G scored 767 points in single-core and 2768 points in multicore Geekbench benchmark.

Based on earlier rumours, the phone is said to pack a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED Infinity-O display, measure 8.14~9.73mm (including the rear camera bump), slightly thinner than the Galaxy A52, feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, but will lack the 3.5mm audio jack which was present in the A52 series.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 is expected to be introduced sometime in Q1, 2022 along with the Galaxy A73.
