realme GT 2 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to be announced on January 4 [Update: Master Edition teased]

The realme GT 2 Pro Master Edition has been teased in images by Vogue Italy ahead of launch. This looks different from the earlier leaks. According to OnLeaks, the Realme GT2 Pro will come in three variants, Regular, Master Edition and the camera performances variant, and the leaked image is of the camera performance variant.

The image confirms dual 50MP rear cameras along with a smaller camera, as rumoured earlier. It also shows the unique Paper Tech Master Design.

realme has finally confirmed that it will introduce its flagship realme GT 2 Pro, the company’s first premium flagship smartphone, at an event in China on January 4th. Earlier this week at a special event, the company confirmed 3 new main features of the realme GT 2 Pro in terms of design, imaging and communication.

The phone will use Paper Tech Master Design that will be give a premium, yet a simple overall look and will use world’s first Bio-based back cover. It will come with 150° ultra-wide camera,  fisheye mode and feature an Antenna Array Matrix System consisting of three technologies: the world’s first ultra-wide-band antenna switching technology (HyperSmart), a Wi-Fi Enhancer, and 360° near-field communication (NFC) technology.

The company already confirmed that its first premium flagship, will be powered by  Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform. 

Renders of the smartphone that surfaced recently revealed a  horizontal rear camera part with dual-LED flash that resembles the Nexus 6P. The phone is said to pack a dual 50MP, and a 8MP camera setup and GR Lens that promises the best shooting performance in the smallest camera body by reducing ghosting, multi-coating on all surfaces and resistance against backlighting.

The phone is said to feature a 6.8-inch 120Hz Quad HD+ OLED screen. It got 3C certification in China recently, revealing 65W fast charging, same as the realme GT, and it is said to pack a 5000mAh battery.

The CEO Sky Li already confirmed that the phone will be priced over US$ 800 (Rs. 60,740 approx.). We can expect more teasers of the phone in the coming days.
