Xiaomi just announced the Xiaomi 12, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China, as it had announced. It packs a 6.28-inch FHD+ flexible OLED screen with up to 1100 nit peak brightness, 16000 brightness-level adjustments, and 120Hz refresh rate. It has TrueColor display, and professional color calibration that allows accurate representation of 1.07 billion colors on the display.
The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which supports up to 6400Mbps transfer rate and new generation UFS 3.1 that offers sequential write speeds of up to 1450MBs. The cooling system has an extra-large 2600mm² VC soaking plate in a light and compact body, along with 10000mm² of heat-dissipating graphite, while the antenna area is also covered with white graphene.
It features a Sony IMX766 main camera with a 1/1.56″ sensor size, a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera. The camera features smart visual tracking capability that can simultaneously identify human eyes and figures, as well as pets, for stable and accurate focusing. The advanced machine learning algorithm allows the system to quickly analyze features of the focused subject, even if shape, angle, or color change. This offers stable and smooth tracking for moving objects, just by double tapping.
The phone has symmetrical dual speakers tuned SOUND BY Harmon Kardon offering a vivid, natural sound experience in three dimensions and Dolby Atmos. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 39 minutes, 50W wireless charging for 100% charge in 53 minutes and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi 12X that has almost similar specs as the Xiaomi 12, but this replaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with the Snapdragon 870 and this lacks wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 12 comes in Black, Blue, and Purple colours with a glass back and Green vegan leather version and is priced at 3,699 yuan (US$ 580 / Rs. 43,365 approx.) for 8GB + 128GB, 3,999 yuan (US$ 627 / Rs. 46,880 approx.) for 8GB + 256GB and 4,399 yuan (US$ 690 / Rs. 51,570 approx.) for 12GB + 256GB versions.
The Xiaomi 12X comes in Black, Blue, and Purple colours and is priced at 3,199 yuan (US$ 502 / Rs. 37,505 approx.) for 8GB + 128GB, 3,499 yuan (US$ 549 / Rs. 41,025 approx.) for 8GB + 256GB and 3799 yuan (US$ 596 / Rs. 44,540 approx.) for 12GB + 256GB versions.
Both these are available to order from today and will go on sale in China starting from December 31st.
