Based on earlier rumours, it is said to use Samsung’s 4nm LPE process tech, feature 1 x 2.9GHz Cortex-X2 Prime Core, 3 x 2.8GHz Cortex-A710 CPU Performance and 4 x 2.2GHz Cortex-A510 Power-efficient cores based on ARM v9 architecture and 1250MHz AMD GPU. This will compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoCs.
According to recent leaks, the Exynos 2200 is said to offer only 5% CPU performance improvement, and 17% GPU performance improvement over the Exynos 2100.
The flagship Exynos 2200 SoC that will launch next month should power the flagship Galaxy S22 series in some markets when it launches in early February.
The company is also expected to introduce a mid-range Exynos 1200 SoC as the successor to last year’s Exynos 1080 soon, but we will have to wait to know if this will be introduced alongside.
