Microsoft has announced that the new Surface Pro 8 in India, and said that it will be available in the country from February 15. The company launched the Surface Pro 7+ for Business last year, today it has announced that it will be available through consumer retail channels on the same day.
The newest Surface Pro 8 is built on the Intel Evo platform, featuring an upgraded 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen, and it is powered by 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The Surface Pro 8’s display is a significant upgrade over the previous generation, with a larger 13-inch PixelSense Flow Display that has a resolution of 2880 x 1920, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with Adaptive Color Technology and Dolby Vision support.
Powering the device is either an 11th Gen Intel Core i3, Core i7 or Core i5 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of SSD storage and of course, runs Windows 11 out-of-the-box.
Microsoft added two Thunderbolt 4 this time around, along with Dolby Atmos sound, dual far-field Studio mics, a 5MP front-facing camera and a 10MP-4K rear-facing camera. According to Microsoft, the Surface Pro 8 has a battery life that is rated at up to 16 hours with regular use.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro 7+ availability
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 will be available to commercial authorized resellers and authorized retail and online partners like Amazon.in and Reliance Digital. Pre-orders for the new Surface Pro 8 will commence today via select retail and online partners. The Surface Pro 7+ will also be available through retail and online partners from February 15.
