WhatsApp has launched a new resource hub for users in India called ‘Safety in India’ that is aimed at building awareness around online safety, privacy and security. It contains information about the various measures and product features built into WhatsApp that allows users to take control over their safety when using WhatsApp.
The importance of online safety has increased in recent years as the use of social media, messaging apps, etc. has skyrocketed. Most users aren’t aware about the number of tools and resources at their disposal that would help protect their data.
In the ‘Safety in India’ resource hub, WhatsApp talks about resources and information such as:

- Arresting the spread of misinformation
