realme just announced the GT 2 Pro, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the GT 2 for the global markets, after these were introduced in China last month. The GT 2 pro packs a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ second generation LTPO 1-120Hz variable refresh rate screen with 1000Hz touch sampling rate for during gaming, 10240 levels of brightness adjustment and 92.6% screen-t0-body ratio, thanks to an extremely narrow frame. The phone has DisplayMate A + certification, and features the next generation in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with up to 12GB RAM, the GT 2 Pro has Diamond ice core cooling system Plus that includes industry’s largest 36761mm² heat dissipation area and 4129mm² VC liquid cooling area, so the heat dissipation area increased by 205%. The heat dissipation structure offers 100% heat source coverage, so the core temperature can be reduced by 19℃.
It has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP 150-degree field of view ultra-wide-angle, fish-eye mode and a 40x microscopic camera, similar to the one seen in the OPPO Find X3 Pro. There is a 32MP front camera.
The GT 2 packs a 6.62-inch Full HD+ E4 AMOLED screen with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10240-level brightness adjustment, 120Hz refresh rate, 1000Hz intelligent instantaneous touch sampling rate and 92.6% screen-to-body ratio. Most specifications, including the dimensions, are similar to the realme GT 2 Neo.
The phone is powered by Snapdragon 888 with up to 12GB of RAM and 8-layer heat dissipation structure that includes diamond gel, 4129mm² 3D tempered liquid-cooled VC and 3D multi-graphene and more that covers a total area of up to 17932mm². It has X-axis linear vibration motor and 4D vibration. The phone features 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 16MP front camera.
The phones run Android 12 with realme UI 3.0, and the company has confirmed 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of Android security patches for the GT 2 series of phones.
In addition to black AG glass back model that has a matte finish, there is a Paper Green and Paper White colours with Paper Tech Master Design that features a back cover that is made of sustainable Sabic bio-based materials extracted from renewable raw materials such as paper pulp and fallen leaves that can reduce carbon emissions by up to 63% per kilogram and can reduce potential fossil feedstock consumption by up to 35%. The phones packs a 5,000mAh battery with 65W wired fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 33 minutes.

The realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro come in Steel Black, Paper Green and Paper White colours. The realme GT 2 Pro is priced at €749 (US$ 837 / Rs. 63,075 approx.) for the 8GB + 128GB model and €849 (US$ 949 / Rs. 71,500 approx.) for 12GB + 256GB model. Both these will get €100 discount as a part of early bird pricing.
The realme GT 2 is priced at €549 (US$ 613 / Rs. 46,230 approx.) for the 8GB + 128GB model and €599 (US$ 669 / Rs. 50,450 approx.) for 12GB + 256GB model. The 8GB version will get a €100 discount as a part of early bird pricing. These are expected to roll out in Europe soon.
