realme just launched realme 9 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, 90.5% screen-to-body ratio and an 16-megapixel camera inside the punch-hole. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, same as the realme 8s. It has up to 6GB of RAM with Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology, which can add up to 5GB to the existing 8GB RAM.
The phone support for 5G SA/NSA and runs Android 11 with realme UI 2.0, but the company says that it will get the Android 12-based realme UI 3.0 update soon. The phone features Ripple Holographic Design with 6 nano layers films.
It features a 48-megapixel rear camera along with an 2-megapixel B&W camera and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro camera. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging, compared to 30W charging in the realme 8.

The realme 9 5G comes in Stargaze White and Meteor Black colours, comes at an introductory price of Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB + 64GB version and the 6GB + 128GB version costs Rs. 17,499. It will be available from realme.com, Flipkart and offline stores from March 14th.
