An all-new Nitro 5 laptops, powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 & i7 processors, was unveiled today by Acer as an upgrade to last year’s models. The laptop boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 80%, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a response time of just 3 ms. It comes with Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 11, as well as a new chassis that has two fans for cooling, an intake on the top and bottom, and four exhaust ports.
The laptop features NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs (fully optimized for maximum MGP). With two M.2 PCIe SSD slots and up to 32GB of DDR4 3200 RAM, the laptops can be configured for maximum speed and storage.
Additionally, the NitroSense utility application provides a way for users to regulate fan speeds, as well as to overclock their CPU/GPU and to personalize the 4-zone RGB keyboard’s lighting. For instance, users can see component temperature, loading performance, power plan, and more by just pressing the dedicated NitroSense key.
The new laptop also features Acer Purified and DTS: X Ultra audio with dual 2W speakers. Dual microphones, a webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction, Killer Ethernet E2600 and Intel® Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i network connectivity, and a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port for file transfers are all included.
