Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra today announced a strategic partnership to jointly grow and market innovative solutions for India’s digital economic development. In India, Airtel and Tech Mahindra will collaborate to develop and market 5G use cases.
Airtel has been at the forefront of 5G demonstrations and trials in India, while Tech Mahindra has created world-class 5G applications and platforms. Airtel and Tech Mahindra will work together to set up a joint 5G innovation lab. This lab will be used to develop Make in India use cases for the Indian and global markets.
Both the companies will also provide businesses with secure cloud and content delivery network (CDN) solutions. As enterprises rapidly migrate to cloud-based platforms as part of their digital transformation journeys, Airtel has built a formidable hybrid cloud portfolio with Airtel Cloud, Airtel IQ (CPaaS), and CDN services. Furthermore, the two companies will look into leveraging Tech Mahindra’s technological expertise to assist Airtel with cloud engineering and the deployment of cloud orchestration tools.
The two companies will also offer customized Enterprise Grade Private Networks to the public. These networks will be at the heart of the digital economy, and they will be made by the companies. These workarounds will combine Airtel’s industry-leading integrated connectivity portfolio of 5G ready mobile networks, Fiber, SDWAN, and IoT with Tech Mahindra’s proven system integration capabilities. The companies will start by focusing on sectors like cars, aviation, ports, utilities, chemical products, and oil and gas before moving on to other industries.
As a vital part of the NXT.NOWTM framework, which strives to provide a “Seamless Customer Experience,” Tech Mahindra aims to invest in emerging technologies and solutions that facilitate digitalization as well as adapt to the changing needs of changing customers.
