Playgo launched the Flaunt (N35) neckband wireless headset recently. It has Bluetooth 5.0 support, has 10mm EBEL (Enhanced Bass and Extra Loud) drivers for crisp audio and promises up to 14 hours of playback. Let us dive into the review to find out if this one is good.

The headset has a lightweight design. The in-ear buds have angled tips that perfectly fits in your ears and also comes with ear fins, so it doesn’t fall out easily even when you are working out or running. There is a small wire connecting earbuds and the neck band.
The back of the earbuds is magnetic that snap together when not in use, but it doesn’t have auto connection. It looks like metal, but the company says that it is plastic with metal coating.
There is a Play branding on the left side. On the right side there are volume control buttons, microphone and a power / multi-function button. On the same side, there is a USB Type-C port under the flap. You can also see an LED indicator that glows in blue and red colours. Since it comes with IPX4 ratings, it can withstand sweat and light rain, but you can’t immerse it in water.
You can also use the multi-function button to play or pause, answer, end or reject a call and use the volume button to change tracks.

Audio Quality
Coming to the audio quality, these headphones offers fairly good audio quality with decent amount of bass with the 10mm EBEL Drivers, but the mids are slightly dull compared to bass. Volume was good, and it is loud enough in 60% or 70% volume. It has AAC codec, which is good considering the price. There is no low-latency gaming mode, so you will notice a slight latency in games.
It doesn’t have active noise cancellation, but the earbuds offer a decent amount of noise isolation, thanks to the angled design of the eartips. Call quality is clear in most cases, but it might not be the best in crowded, noisy environment or when you are travelling in a cycle or bike since too much wind noise is not cut out.
Connectivity and Pairing
The Bluetooth headset supports Bluetooth 5.0, so you can connect it to Android and iOS devices. It pairs to your phone quickly, just by holding the multifunction button for 3 seconds to enter the pairing mode. You just have to select the PlayGo N35 to pair the headphones. You get voice feedback when it enters pairing mode and when it connects successfully. The LED light blinks when it’s pairing, and stops when the pairing is complete. There is no multipoint support, so you can’t connect two devices at a time.
Battery Life
With the 130mAh battery on the headset, the company promises about 14 hours of battery life. I got slightly over 14 hours of battery life when listening in 60 to 70% volume. The battery life might vary depending on the usage and listening volume. Charging the headset from 0 to 100% takes close to 2 hours. It doesn’t have fast charging support.
Conclusion
Overall, the Playgo Flaunt is a decent neckband headset for the price of Rs. 1199, but there is a huge competition from several companies in the range. It offers a punchy bass, decent battery life, comes with USB Type-C port, and has AAC codec support as well. Wish it had a dedicated gaming mode for a low latency experience.
