According to information from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will warn businesses that risk breaking the firm’s commerce policy. The warning will appear above the chat list and tell businesses about the policies of the Meta-owned company. This will only appear on WhatsApp Business accounts.
According to the report, the company is making a “banner flag” that will show up on WhatsApp business accounts that have broken the firm’s commerce policy. The feature was found a few days after the messaging platform announced that all businesses as well as developers would be able to use its cloud-based API.
The warning claims, “WhatsApp access at risk,” and then it says, “Start following the policy to keep using WhatsApp.” The tracker believes that in the future, business owners could see the flag as an alert before one‘s account is suspended.
The messaging platform is also coming out with a new tab that lets users see messages they have chosen to “keep” from disappearing conversations. This is yet another feature that seems to be currently in the works. According to a screenshot posted by WABetaInfo, the new feature is called “Kept Messages” and is placed under the Starred Messages menu tab.
These features are still being worked on, but there is no word on when they will be made available, nor has any information been made public about the functionality that is now in development. As previously reported, WhatsApp will stop supporting iPhones running iOS 10 and iOS 11 within the next several months.
