Sony has updated its X Series portable speaker line-up with the introduction of three new models: the Sony SRS XG300, XG200, and XG200, all of which feature Sony’s X-Balanced Speaker Unit and Dual Passive Radiators to deliver on the promise of punchier bass and less distortion for high-quality sound, a retractable handle for easy carrying, an IP67 rating, and much more. Let’s take a closer look at each of the speakers.
The Sony XG300 is said to provide club-like bass and clear high-frequency audio thanks to its integrated tweeters and MEGA BASS features, and it also has Ambient Illumination, which gives it a modern, stylish, and chic appearance. Unlike most speaker units, the new X-Balanced Speaker Unit in the XG300 does not have a circular diaphragm. Instead, it has a non-circular diaphragm that generates more sound pressure for better sound quality.
The XG300 speaker has Bluetooth 5.2 and fast pair, as well as a retractable handle and USB type A port for charging mobiles. It has a large battery that can last up to 25 hours, and a quick charge of 10 minutes will give you 70 minutes of play time.
The XE300 and XE200, on the other hand, are smaller in size and can be used in a vertical orientation, allowing them to reap the full benefits of the Line-Shape Diffuser technology, which aids in sound distribution and features an X-Balanced Speaker Unit for powerful and clear sound.
The Sony XE300 and X200 have comparable specifications, with the exception that the XE200 is slightly smaller and has a smaller battery that can last up to 16 hours, while the former can last up to 25 hours. Both speakers have Bluetooth 5.2, Fast Pair, a retractable handle, and Quick Charge feature that provides 70 minutes of playback with just 10 minutes of charging.
All three models include a Battery Care feature that helps you avoid overcharging and keeps your battery in optimum condition for longer, a Party Connect mode that allows up to 100 compatible speakers to be paired for seriously loud sound, a Stereo Pair mode that connects two speakers to produce stereo sound, and Echo Cancelling technology that prevents annoying delays or echoes during calls.
