Solve for Tomorrow, a Samsung citizenship initiative, invites India’s brightest young minds to develop innovative ideas in education, environment, healthcare, and agriculture that can improve the lives of people and communities.
Details about Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow competition:
There will be three rounds of competition. A team can have a maximum of three members. In round 1, teams can submit their applications, detailing the problem they are attempting to solve, the proposed solution, and the social impact. A jury of subject-matter experts from FITT and IIT Delhi will select the top 50 teams from all submitted applications. They will receive online design thinking training and will attend a boot camp at IIT Delhi to develop a proof of concept.
The top ten teams will be chosen for the third round, where they will receive advanced online training on topics such as prototyping and designing for manufacturing, as well as mentoring from experts at Samsung and IIT Delhi, to help them prepare their ideas for the finale. These teams will be rewarded with INR 100,000 Samsung hampers containing exciting Samsung products.
Finally, Samsung will award grants totalling up to INR 1 crore to the top three winning teams from round 3, bringing them one step closer to turning their ideas into their dream startups.
