Lenovo has introduced a new model of the smart clock home accessory in India called the Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in, as the successor to last year’s model. It is a digital smart speaker designed to replace your alarm clock, and as the name suggest, it features support for Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant.
The new Smart Clock Essential has a soft-touch fabric exterior and a design that fits in easily into a home aesthetic. It has soft buttons on top for device control and on the back, there is a hardware toggle for microphone mute. It comes in two colours – Misty Blue or Clay Red.
On the front, there is a 4-inch high-contrast LED display that will show the weather, humidity, and temperature outside. It has an auto-dim feature, and the screen also can be turned off completely from the Alexa app. The 3W full-range speaker is great for streaming songs, audiobooks and podcasts from Amazon Music, Spotify, etc. It supports multiroom audio too.
With support for Alexa, the Smart Clock can set timers, alarms, reminders and order items from Amazon. If you have multiple Lenovo Smart Clock Essentials in the house, you can also broadcast messages to all devices with a simple button press.
The Lenovo Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with built-in Alexa is priced at Rs. 4999, and is available for purchase on Amazon and Lenovo’s online store.
