Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of a new monitor called the ViewFinity S8. They are designed for creative professionals, comes in two sizes 32-inch and 27-inch, features UHD resolution, up to 98% of DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to the VESA DisplayHDR 600 standard.
The ViewFinity S8 (model: S80PB) has an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160. Designed for creative professionals, the panel boasts a colour gamut of 98% of DCI-P3, and PANTONE Validated, meaning it can authentically reproduce more than 2,000 colors as well as the newly added 110 skin tone shades.
The monitor is the world’s first UL verified Glare Free monitor, thanks to its matte display. The 32-inch model is DisplayHDR 600 certified, while the 27-inch model is DisplayHDR 400 certified. The monitor also serves as an all-in-one dock for desktops or laptops through a single USB Type-C cable. It can transfer data at 10Gbps, connect to the internet via Ethernet and charge a connected device at up to 90W of power.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung ViewFinity S8 will be available globally from the end of June. Regarding pricing, Samsung Korea has announced that the 32-inch will cost 820,000 won (Approx. Rs. 49,530 / US$ 635) and the 27-inch will cost 720,000 won (Approx. Rs. 43,490 / US$ 557)
