In celebration of World Music Day, Instagram has announced a new campaign ‘#1MinMusic pop-ups’, in which many pop-ups will be set up in various cities across India. The campaign aims to showcase how music videos songs can be reimagined with Instagram Reels, with a select set artists creating and releasing Reels at each pop-up.
These pop-ups will be held in multiple cities, where established artists will be paired with Instagram-first videographers to shoot their music videos. They will be able to use multiple creative studio backdrops and genre-specific set up, created specially for this pop-up.
The first pop-up was opened in the Meta office at Gurgaon by the cast of the upcoming Bollywood movie, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, including actors Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Maniesh Paul. At this pop-up, artists such as Dhvani Bhanushali, Kabeer Kathpalia, Rashmeet Kaur, Aditya A were featured.
The pop-up was open between June 19th and June 21st, and at the end, music videos from all the artists involved will be released. The songs will be then available to use in the #1MinMusic playlist, in the Reels audio library.
#1MinMusic is Instagram’s music property that features exclusive music tracks and videos from over 200 national and regional artists. It aims to inspire established and emerging artists to innovate and create music in a completely new way through the uniqueness of the format offered by Reels.
