LG and Wikitude have teamed up to launch the first 3D augmented reality (AR) browser on their smart phone Optimus 3D. Wikitude 3D browser uses Augmented Reality to display the information about places, landmarks and objects in 3D. This also allows the users to access the Wikipedia articles and twitter information about the place from the app.
Wikitude World Browser lets you view a place using mobile phone’s camera by overlaying the virtual 3D image and its information on real-time view with the use of GPS, compass and accelerometer. This app has has over 100 million locations provided by1,000 content providers and supports for 12 languages which will increase in the future.

This phone comes with 4.3 inch (480 x 800 pixels) 3D display, 1 GHz Dual core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, dual 5MP auto focus camera with 720p 3D capture at 30fps, 8 GB ROM, 512 MB RAM and 1500 mAh battery.
The LG Optimus 3D will be available in Europe this summer followed by other markets around the world. Wikitude World Browser app would be available to download from next month from LG`s dedicated app store for free.
