Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 4nm and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 6nm 5G Mobile Platforms announced

Qualcomm just announced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 4nm and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 6nm Mobile Platforms for mid-tier and mass-volume 5G devices. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 features triple ISP, 7th Gen Qualcomm AI Engine, and promises up to 35% quicker graphics rendering and up to 40% faster processing compared to Snapdragon 695.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 promises up to 15% improved CPU and up to 10% enhanced GPU compared to Snapdragon 480.

Availability

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will power devices in Q1 2023. Motorola has confirmed it will use the chip in its devices in the future.

Devices based on Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 will roll out this Q3 2022. iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO Z6 Lite that will launch in India on September 14th will be one of the first smartphones globally to be powered by the new Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 Mobile Platform.
