Instagram is getting ads in explore pages, profile feed

Instagram today announced new ad surfaces and tools to target more customers. It introduced ads on new surfaces and creative tools last month to help marketers create, tell their narratives, and expand their businesses.

More people watch, create, and share reels than ever. Reel advertisements allow you to reach new customers. Instagram is introducing free, high-quality Meta Sound Collection tracks to Carousel Ads on Reels. Businesses can manually choose a song from its repertoire, or let the app choose it based on the ad’s content.

Ads in Explore home and profile feed

Instagram’s Explore and Profile now provide more brand and product discovery. Explore Home, the grid users see when they first click Explore, will now incorporate ads to target consumers early in the discovery process.

  • It’s also testing ads in non-teen, public profile feeds, which individuals may read through after visiting another account’s profile and tapping on a post.
    Advertisers may increase their reach by utilizing current feed assets while delivering users the same tailored ad experience as in their main Instagram feed.
  • As part of this pilot, Instagram will allow chosen U.S. producers to earn additional funds from ads in their profile feeds.
AI-powered multi-advertiser ads

Businesses can reach shoppers who have recently engaged with relevant business content in feeds using multi-advertiser advertising. When a user engages with an ad, machine learning delivers more advertising from related businesses. The company said that adding more than one advertiser to ad campaigns increased incremental conversions per dollar spent.

AR Ads

Instagram has begun an open test of AR ads, providing an immersive augmented reality ad experience available in both feed and stories.

Brands can encourage customers to interact with the effect by utilizing the AR experience provided by Spark AR.
