Update: November 2 – Motorola Asia Pacific head today announced that the company has completed finished rolling out 5G update edge 30 ultra, edge 30 fusion, edge 30 pro, edge 30, moto g62 5G and moto g82 5G and oher motorola 5G devices will be receiving the updates in subsequent weeks, targeting completion within November 2022.
Regarding this Prashanth Mani, Executive Director, Motorola Asia Pacific, regarding the 5G roll out, said:
Motorola 5G smartphones in India, across categories, have hardware support for 11 to 13 5G bands including all 8 Sub 6 GHz 5G bands that have been announced in India.
We have already started the roll-out of OTA software updates for enabling 5G across both SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel & Vi) 5G modes, simultaneously on Motorola devices, enabling consumers to experience seamless 5G across operators. Our updates on Motorola edge 30 ultra, edge 30 fusion, edge 30 pro, edge 30, moto g62 5G and moto g82 5G have already been rolled out and other Motorola 5G devices will be receiving the updates in subsequent weeks, targeting completion within November 2022.
Earlier: After Apple and Samsung, motorola today confirmed that it has started rolling out update for its phones to 5G across both SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel & Vi) 5G modes on its 5G smartphones.
Even though, Airtel has not mentioned the availability of 5G support for motorola phones on its site. motorola said that it has already rolled out 5G update for the edge 30 ultra and edge 30 fusion phones this week.
The company confirmed that other motorola 5G devices will be receiving the updates in subsequent weeks, and the company expects to finish the roll-out by the first week of November 2022.

The company said that it is known to be one of the few smartphone manufacturers in India to have the maximum percentage of its portfolio of 5G devices in the country, and added that it continues to cater to its consumers’ needs by continuing to offer phenomenal 4G as well as 5G devices across price ranges.
