Google’s first and much anticipated foldable device, which may be called Pixel Fold is expected to arrive next. So far, only a few details about this upcoming foldable device have been released. Now, developer Kuba Wojciechowski has revealed some display specifications for the device.
The Google Pixel Fold, codenamed “Felix” internally, will have Samsung AMOLED screens. This, like the Galaxy Z Fold series, will have an external display as well as an internal large screen.
The internal large screen is expected to have a resolution of 1840 x 2208 pixels and dimensions of 123 x 148 mm. This resolution is comparable to the Galaxy Z Fold4’s resolution of 1812 x 2176 pixels. It should have a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. The display’s refresh rate is unknown, but we can expect it to be around 120 Hz.
The developer has provided no information about the external cover display. However, as previously stated by Ross Young, it should have a 5.8-inch cover display with a wider aspect ratio, similar to the Oppo Find N.
The same developer has revealed some foldable camera specifications based on Android 13 code. According to his findings, the Pixel Fold will have a triple rear camera setup, with the main sensor being a Sony IMX787 sensor.
An S5K3J1 telephoto lens and an IMX386 ultra-wide lens will also be included with the rear camera setup. The outer display will feature an S5K3J1 telephoto selfie camera, while the inner display may include an IMX355 sensor.
The Google Pixel foldable phone is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2023. More information about this foldable phone should become available in the coming days.
