Airtel today announced that it has launched its Airtel 5G Plus services at the Pune Lohegaon Airport, making it the first airport in the state to enjoy 5G services. Earlier this month, the company launched its 5G services at the Terminal 2 of Bengaluru Airport.
This will help passengers enjoy 5G services on their 5G smartphones while they are at the arrival and departure terminals, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration counters, security areas, baggage claim belts, parking area etc.
Airtel rolled out 5G services in 8 cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi last month. This month, the company expanded it to Panipat and Gurugram.
Airtel already confirmed that it will cover in all key metros by the end of this year, all of urban India in 2023 and across the country by March 2024. Since the existing Airtel 4G SIM is 5G enabled, no SIM change is needed to enjoy 5G services.
