In ASUS EeePad Transformer, the tablet merges with a laptop dock but in this one, the phone is merging with a tablet. The phone literally merged in the tablet when attached with dock, It’s covered and hard to tell where are you actually hiding it. It seems that the tablet comes with a 10-Inch display, and the phone is around 4-inch. At the moment, we don’t know about the specs and the software the phone will run on. Tomorrow is actually the day when ASUS will officially unveil it at Computex, but there is no restriction on making some guesses, right? EeePad Transformer is rocking on a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, so I am pretty sure that Padfone will also feature a dual-core processor, but it’s possible that this time it’s from Qualcomm, but lets wait for official release. We heard that ASUS is also working on a Tegra 3 a.k.a quad-core powered tablet, but I think it’s too early for quad-core to come out. And about the software, I really don’t know about it but what’s coming in my mind is that the tablet will run on Honeycomb and the phone will be powered by Android 2.3 a.k.a Gingerbread, and what ASUS is actually offering is a set where you actually getting both in one bundle. Rumor has it that Garmin is the maker of the smartphone, so lets see. I think ASUS will also sell the tablet and phone separately.
Well friends, my guesses can go wrong, so don’t forget to tell me about yours in the comment box below.
