Lenovo introduces ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, Yoga Gen 8, Nano Gen 3, ThinkVision monitors and more

In preparation for the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, Lenovo has unveiled its latest ThinkPad X1 notebooks and Lenovo Go Power Hybrid Working devices. Additionally, the company announced new consumer products as well.

Lenovo also said that ThinkPad has been around for more than 30 years and that the brand’s evolution continues to set benchmarks for durability, productivity, performance, and user experience.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11, ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8, and ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3

The latest ThinkPad X1s can provide a stress-free, productive, and efficient working environment, and their TÜV Rheinland-certified low-blue light-emitting panels, including a spectacular Dolby Vision OLED option, can help decrease eye strain and tiredness.

The Dolby Suite, which includes Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Voice with AI noise reduction, creates a sound experience that makes you feel like you are in the room.

ThinkPad X1s come with the ThinkShield security suite and the optional Computer Vision (CV) technology, which improves user presence recognition by allowing smarter privacy, a simpler login, and better energy management. ThinkPad X1s have a mechanical camera shutter for privacy.

The Intel Evo-based versions have up to Intel Core i7 CPUs with Intel vPro and Windows 11. For memory-intensive operations, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 and X1 Yoga Gen 8 can have up to 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Lenovo Go Desk Station with Webcam

The Lenovo Go Desk Station webcam features a unique hybrid working solution that integrates a 4K camera, adjustable desk light, rotatable arm, expansion hub, and Qi wireless charger into one device.

The camera is built for video conferencing and high-resolution streaming. It has auto focus, auto framing, a configurable field of view, auto ambient light correction, and 4K at 30 fps. The camera’s privacy shutter adds security.

The Lenovo Go Desk Station has a height-adjustable arm and a rotating arm with an integrated light. A touch brightness controller offers 3000K, 4500K, and 6500K settings, giving 1600 lux at 0.5 m. The Desk Station’s base has a 135W USB Type-C power input and a 65W USB Type-C connection for power pass-through to a laptop.

The base has two USB Type-A 3.1 connectors and an HDMI 2.0 output port for 4K at 60 fps. A 15-watt Qi charging pad and a 20-watt USB Type-C port charge approved mobile devices.

A hybrid desk setup can be finished with a Lenovo Professional Wireless Rechargeable Combo Keyboard and Mouse. The elegant professional combo includes rechargeable batteries and a smooth switch for connecting to up to three 2.4-GHz devices via a unified dongle or dual Bluetooth. The keyboard has pleasant, responsive keys and near-silent typing, while the mouse has eight buttons, five of which are programmable, a changeable DPI of up to 4000, and The combo contains 65% PCC plastic.

ThinkVision Mini LED Monitors (P27pz-30 and P32pz-30)

ThinkVision Mini LED displays support HDR10 and HLG formats, are DisplayHDR1000-certified to attain 1200 nits, and are available in 27-inch and 31.5-inch screen sizes. Both monitors include flicker-free technology to decrease eye fatigue and dual-color DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB7 standards for graphic and video applications.

Lenovo’s ThinkColour software offers point-and-click colour configuration and display settings management. These ThinkVision Mini LED monitors incorporate energy-saving human recognition and light sensors as well.

ThinkVision Mini LED monitors are OS-agnostic and can connect with USB-C or Thunderbolt laptops, mobile phones, and tablets. They deliver up to 40 GB/s of data and video transfer with a single USB4 cable and can daisy-chain two UHD monitors. These displays can charge powerful laptops and supply up to 15 W to smartphones.

ThinkVision Mini LED monitors provide three Type-C, four Type-A, two HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and DP connectors for cross-device communications and fast data transfer. ThinkVision Mini LED monitors are built of 90% PCC aluminium in the stand, 95% PCC ABS in the rear cover, and 85% PCC ABS in the bezel and stand. They are also the first Lenovo monitors with no plastic packaging and CO2 Offset Service.

ThinkVision P32p-30 and P49w-30 Monitors

The ThinkVision P32p-30 is a 31.5-inch, 4K UHD display for high-resolution users. This monitor supports the ThinkVision VoIP Modular Stack, has an RJ45 port with better security, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports for rapid data transfer and charging. Users can change the stand’s lift range for the best viewing angle.

The 49-inch, double-QHD ThinkVision P49w-30 is ultrawide. This monitor features IPS Black technology for crisper, more vibrant colours and deeper blacks with a wide viewing angle. It includes 13 ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 connections with a 100W power supply and a front-facing USB-C port with 15W fast charging.

Lenovo’s eKVM and True Split capabilities allow users to use both sides of the screen as two different workstations without connections. With eKVM, users could instantly switch between two PC sources with a mouse click. True Split is a hardware-based partition that splits one monitor into two, allowing settings and aspect ratios to be independently altered.

The ThinkVision P49w-30 can connect up to two other double-QHD monitors through the Thunderbolt 4-out connector, eliminating cable clutter and enabling an efficient multi-display arrangement. This display has two 5 W speakers and supports the ThinkVision MC60 camera with mic.

Lenovo L27i-40 and L24m-40 Monitors

The Lenovo L27i-40 monitor has a sleek, cloud-grey metal frame stand that will embellish any workspace. The small, 3-sided, virtually edgeless IPS panel offers improved audio and visuals over prior generations, featuring two integrated 3W speakers and a 99% sRGB colour gamut. Two HDMI ports and a terrazzo base with a smartphone slot and open-space cut-out make minor essentials like a pen easy to access.

Its 23.8-inch FHD display has an IPS panel with reduced blue light and a 99% sRGB colour gamut. With two 3W speakers, 75W of power, and a USB hub with several ports, including a USB Type-C port, customers may attach the tools they need, like the Lenovo LC50 Monitor Webcam, for more efficient virtual calling.

Both the monitors offer low-blue light technology and meet Eyesafe Display Requirements 2.0. Each monitor’s base, stand, and back cover are manufactured with 85% PCC recycled plastic.
