After teasers and rumours, Redmi has confirmed the launch of Redmi K60 series smartphones that includes the K60E, K60 and K60 Pro. During the launch of the Dimensity 8200 earlier this month, Redmi confirmed that it will use the chip in the Redmi K60E.
The teaser image shows triple rear cameras with OIS for the main camera, glass back with carbon fibre textures on the sides. According to earlier rumours, the K60E will replace last year’s K50, the Redmi K60 will replace the K50 Pro and the K60 Pro will replace the K50G.
Lu Weibing, the general manager of Redmi, said that the K60 Pro is positioned as the “King of Performance” equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 integrating e-sports performance + flagship experience. This will challenge the 2023 flagship with more ruthless performance, says that company. He has also posted that the phone has scored over 1.35 million points on AnTuTu.
The phone features self-developed tuning engine, the frame rate and image quality surpass e-sports mobile phones, and have a richer flagship experience, added Redmi.
He said that the Redmi K60 is positioned as the “strongest standard version”, equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The Redmi K60E is a new model that has been added for this year, and it is positioned as a “flagship with light performance”.
The Redmi K60 series recently passed 3C certification that revealed 120W fast charging for the Pro version, and the K60 and K60E will support 67W fast charging. There are also rumours of the K60 Pro featuring 30W wireless charging support for the first time in the Redmi series.
