realme 10 Unboxing and First Impressions

realme today launched the realme 10 as the successor to realme 9. This replaces the Snapdragon 680 in the realme 9 with Helio G99 SoC, and retains the 6.4-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen and 5000mAh with 33W fast charging, but this is cheaper than the predecessor. We got hold of the phone, and here is our unboxing.

Box Contents

  • realme 10 8GB + 128GB version in Stargaze White color
  • 2-pin 33W SuperVOOC fast charger
  • USB Type C Cable
  • SIM Ejector tool
  • Protective case
  • User Guide and Warranty information

The realme 9 has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen with gentle rounded corners. The display is bright, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. It has 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection protection.

It has the punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera, which has been in a standard in most realme mid-range phones. The earpiece is present on the top edge.

Powered by MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, it has support for up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 8GB of additional RAM expansion. There is 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone runs Android 12-based realme UI 3.0, but the company said that it will get the Android 13-based realme UI 4.0 update soon.

Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The dedicated dual SIM slot is present on the left. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top.

It features a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel portrait B&W camera. It has 1080p 30fps video recording. Check out some camera samples.

Coming to the design, the phone has a Light Particle Design. Inspired by famous fiction “three body problem”, in which light particles can smash into stars at the speed of light, demonstrating speed and power, just like realme 10, says the company.

Combining plasma Atom-coating process and UV-nano imprinting process, realme 10 has a 3D texture with dynamic corrugated light effect with 6-layers of coating. The phone is just 7.95mm, making it one of the slimmest realme phones.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging that offers 0 to 50% charge in 28 minutes and up to 100% in 70 minutes. Since it has a huge battery, it weighs about 178 grams.

Priced starting Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version, the phone will be available from Flipkart and realme.com as well as offline stores from January 15th.  As a part of launch offer, it will be available from Rs. 12,999.
