OPPO has introduced A78 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone, in India, after the launch of A17k last year. It packs a 6.56-inch HD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rate, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and is compatible with all Indian service providers, including Jio, Vodafone, and Airtel (on SA and NSA networks).
It runs Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top. The phone has a 50MP rear camera along with a 2MP portrait sensor and a 8MP front camera inside the notch. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM with RAM expansion.
The back has polished rings around the camera module and a pattern of brilliant lights extending to the backplate; its OPPO Glow treatment produces a glittering matte, stain-resistant finish.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging via USB Type-C.

Pricing and availability
The OPPO A78 5G comes in Glowing Blue and Glowing Black colours and is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB model. It will be available in India from mainline retail outlets, OPPO E-Store, and Amazon from January 18, 2023.
