Samsung Galaxy Watch5 gets Temperature-based Menstrual Cycle Tracking

Samsung and Natural Cycles have partnered to add menstrual cycle tracking to Galaxy Watch5 using Natural Cycles’ algorithm. The collaboration combines Samsung’s sensor tech with Natural Cycles’ fertility tech to provide users with better menstrual cycle insights. Recently, Samsung also added Camera Controller for Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5 series.

Advanced Temperature-Based Cycle Tracking to Galaxy Watch5 Series

Galaxy Watch5 users can access advanced menstrual cycle tracking through the Cycle Tracking feature, which has been approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea, registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and complies with CE Marking requirements.

Natural Cycles is a pioneer in women’s health and has developed the world’s first app that determines each user’s unique fertility status using body temperature and other fertility indicators. Natural Cycles’ technology and algorithm powers the Cycle Tracking feature on the Samsung Health app with the Galaxy Watch5 series.

Samsung’s advanced sensor technology, including the BioActive Sensor, and the new infrared temperature sensor, are leading the next era of digital health monitoring. The temperature sensor can track skin temperature changes and menstrual cycles using infrared technology, providing accurate readings even if the user moves while sleeping or the surrounding temperature changes. All user data is encrypted and stored on their device, giving them better control and peace of mind.
