Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its mobile gaming catalogue with the launch of Esports, in partnership with leading esports start-up Gamerji, under the umbrella of Vi Games.
This platform is now available on the Vi App which already offers over 1200 mobile games, multiplayer and competitive gaming.
Vi Games on Vi App Adds Multiplayer Games
Recently, Vi Games on Vi App added more than 40 multiplayer, competitive games. The platform, alongside Gamerji, will host popular esports titles in various genres such as Battle Royale, Racing, Cricket, Action Role Playing, etc.
The aim is to make Vi App the premier destination for gaming enthusiasts. Popular titles like New State, Free Fire Call of Duty Mobile, World Cricket Championship 3, Asphalt 9, and Clash Royale will be available during launch, with more titles to follow.
Esports is Growing Rapidly in India
The esports industry in India has grown rapidly over the last few years. According to a FICCI-EY Media and Entertainment Report 2022, the number of esports players in India has doubled from three lakh in 2020 to six lakh in 2021.
The industry is projected to have a CAGR of 46% and is expected to have an economic value of around INR 11 billion by 2025. The gaming segment is also estimated to be worth INR 100 billion by FY2025.

- Go to the Games section on the Vi App
- Select your favorite game from the Esports library
- Pick a match and tournament
- Sign up for the matches and tournament
- Play the match and have a chance to win awesome prizes
Availability
Vi Users can access Vi Games on the Vi App, available for free from Google Play or Apple store. They can use their virtual coins to enjoy exciting prizes.
