TECNO, IIT-D collaborate for Avatar Making competition

TECNO is organizing the TECNO Avatar Making Competition, a nationwide graphic design-centric contest between March 17th and 27th, in collaboration with IIT-Delhi, to identify and recognize creative and innovative talents in India. This is an expansion of IIT Delhi’s annual cultural festival, Rendezvous 2023, which began last week.

Participants in the competition will create “gaming characters” that represent the characteristics found in the POVA series powered by TECNO. The POVA product line, according to the company, echoes the trinity of speed, power, and performance and is renowned for providing users with an unparalleled gaming experience and enhanced smartphone performance.

The competition is open to talented students from 800 prestigious colleges and universities across the country. The firm expects participants’ entries to embody the essence of durability and agility. The same must be submitted as a GB box design to the Unstop portal by March 27, 2023.

The winning avatar art will be featured on the packaging of the limited gaming edition smartphones in the upcoming POVA series. Furthermore, the top three entries will be eligible to win exciting TECNO prizes.

Speaking about the competition, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO, TECNO Mobile, said,

We have always centred our activities around Zillenials to create a great experience for them. The Avatar Making Competition under our Youth-connect program is a one-of-its-kind competition that would enable the students to explore the unexplored possibilities with their flair for creativity.

With this competition, we aim to encourage the youth to break free from their monotonous schedule and realise their inner capabilities of creating a larger-than-life artwork. Our partnership with IIT-D creates a unique experiential platform to engage with our consumers at an emotional level. We are looking forward to a positive response from the students and are eager to have a closer look at their innovative thinking.
