Amazon expands its TV lineup with three new sizes of the Fire TV Omni QLED Series and the affordable Fire TV 2-Series. The Omni QLED series will also bring the Fire TV Ambient Experience to more countries, including the UK, Germany, and Mexico.
Fire TV Omni QLED Series
Amazon’s Fire TV Omni QLED Series, now available in 43″, 50″, and 55″ sizes, offers an immersive viewing experience thanks to its 4K Quantum Dot Technology display with up to 96 zones of full-array local dimming.
With support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive, customers can enjoy a cinematic experience. The built-in far-field technology allows for hands-free control with Alexa from anywhere in the room, making it perfect for any space.
Ambient Experience
The Omni QLED’s Fire TV Ambient Experience makes the TV always smart. Presence sensors detect when someone enters the room and switch to the Ambient Experience, showing helpful information powered by Alexa. This includes schedules, notes, smart device control, and audio streaming.
Omni QLED Series turns your TV into an art gallery, with no monthly subscription needed. The Ambient Experience just added hundreds of new high-quality pieces, now totaling over 1,700 free artworks.
The collection includes pieces from famous institutions like The National Gallery of Art and The Art Institute of Chicago, as well as additions from the National Galleries of Scotland, National Museum of Wales, Munich’s Pinakothek of the Modern, and more.
Ask Alexa about any art collection and get information on the artist or artwork. Ambient Experience will soon feature dynamic art that adapts to the environment and displays personalized, ever-changing pieces based on factors like time of day and weather.
Fire TV 2-Series
The all-new Fire TV 2-Series: 32″ and 40″ sizes to fit any room. Powered by Alexa, access over 1 million movies and TV episodes from top apps like Prime Video, Netflix, and more. The 32″ model boasts HD resolution, while the 40″ offers FHD with enhanced clarity and detail.
Plus, enjoy support for HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Digital Audio. Use the Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote to effortlessly discover and control content, or even check the weather, sports and more.
Fire TV supports Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA)
Fire TV supports the open-source ASHA protocol and in 2022, the Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen) became the first US streaming media player to support ASHA through a collaboration with Starkey. Shortly after, Fire TV devices became the first to stream sound directly to a hearing implant sound processor through Cochlear’s partnership with Fire TV.
The Fire TV Omni QLED Series, 4-Series, and 2-Series now support ASHA. This means that those with Starkey Bluetooth hearing aids or Cochlear hearing implants can connect directly to Amazon-built TVs to enjoy streaming, music, Alexa, and more.
