OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition smartphone in China, after teasers. This has similar specifications of the OnePlus 11, but this comes with a “unique” back cover texture made of 3D microcrystalline rock.
It looks like wood, and the company says that it is skin-friendly and does not leave fingerprints. The phone is also wear-resistant and antibacterial. In order to match the overall color tone and the concept of Jupiter, the middle frame of the device is extended near the camera area that is painted in gold, and the SIM card pin in the box looks like a gold circle.
There are Stickers and a special invite letter in the box. The phone also comes with a custom Jupiter Rock wallpaper.
Pricing and availability
The OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition comes in single 16GB + 512GB version priced at 4,899 yuan (US$ 711 / 58,540 approx.), same as the original OnePlus 11. It is available to order and will go on sale in China starting from April 3rd. No details about the global roll-out yet.
Regarding the rear design, OnePlus said:
Although the research and development and manufacturing of the Jupiter rock back cover took up to one year, the production process was fumbled and built from 0 to 1, and the process was so complicated that the production efficiency was only 25% of the glass version, and the yield was only 50% of the glass version. Each Jupiter rock back cover is 100% hand-selected.
