After several delays, Apple has revealed ‘Apple BKC’ barricade, confirming that it will finally open its first retail store in India at Jio World Drive Mall, Mumbai.
“Inspired by the iconic Kaali Peeli taxi art unique to Mumbai, the Apple BKC creative includes colourful interpretations of the decals combined with many Apple products and services that will be available for our customers to discover,” said the company.
There is also a creative with the classic Apple greeting “Hello Mumbai”.
Based on earlier reports, the first Apple Store in Jio World Drive mall will cover 22,000 square feet. Apple started hiring for several posts for the retail stores in India back in January. Apple is said to be planning to open its second store that is 10,000 to 12,000-square-feet in New Delhi’s Select CityWalk mall.
Based on earlier reports, the first two Apple retail stores in India are expected between April and June 2023.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, Apple has released a new Apple BKC wallpaper and a specially curated playlist with the sounds of Mumbai with on Apple Music, which you can check out on the Apple India website.
