Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra specs surface: 14.6″ WQXGA+ screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, IP68 ratings

Samsung made a huge leap in the tablet market last year when it released the Tab S8 Ultra with top-of-the-line specs. This was the most expensive model in the Tab S8 series. Samsung appears to be following suit, as key specifications for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have surfaced.

Ice Universe, a well-known leaker, made these details public. The Tab S9 Ultra is said to measure 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5 mm, the same as its predecessor. The device’s weight, however, has increased by 11g to 737g. Unfortunately, the leaker did not provide any renders.

The Tab S9 Ultra is expected to have a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ (2960 x 1848-pixel) display with a 120% DCI-P3 color gamut. The company chose the same screen size and will more likely be Super AMOLED display as its predecessor.

It is said to be powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC seen in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The chipset will be backed up by 16GB of the fastest LPDDR5X RAM available.

One of the new features on this flagship tablet should be the IP rating. The Tab S9 Ultra is claimed to have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The tablet should have a large, 11200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.

Other possible tablet features include S Pen support, stereo speakers with Sound by AKG, 5G connectivity, the latest One UI software, and more. More information and renders of the flagship tablet are expected in the coming months, before it goes official along with the other Galaxy Tab S9 series tablets later this year.
