Samsung today announced that “Galaxy S23 series is cruising” in major countries around the world, setting a new sales record that surpasses its predecessor.
In February, before the sale, Samsung said that pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 series were even higher than those of the Galaxy S22 series, with over 60% of consumers opting for the most premium Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Sales of Samsung Galaxy S23 series globally
Samsung said that the S23 series have recorded higher sales of up to 70% year-on-year worldwide for 47 days since its launch.
In India, the company has confirmed 1.4 times the sales compared to the S22 series, and it has recorded 1.5 times the sales of the predecessor in the Middle East and Europe over the same time period.
Major Latin American countries such as Brazil and Mexico which began selling the phones from February 24 have seen 1.7 times higher sales than its predecessor, said Samsung.
In Korea, the S23 series recently surpassed 1 million units in sales, similar to that of the previous one during the same period.
The global sales of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+, and S23 were tallied at 6 to 2 to 2, respectively, and the popularity of Ultra products was overwhelming, said Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series are now available in 130 countries
Samsung has rolled out the Galaxy S23 series in about 130 countries, including Korea, the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America and India. The phones will launch in Japan on April 20, and the global launch of the Galaxy S23 series will be completed this month, with some countries in the Middle East and Africa.
Offers for Galaxy S23 buyers in Korea
To celebrate the sales of more than 1 million units in Korea, Samsung has announced several offers for the buyers.
Customers who purchase can choose between 100,000 won coupons or damage compensation available at Samsung.com Event Mall and one-year “Samsung Care Plus” damage guarantee vouchers that allow immediate discounts on repair costs. The company also offers a genuine case.
