Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 7a, successor to the Pixel 6a, at the Google I/O in May. Renders and the specifications of the phone surfaced recently. Now, 9to5Google has revealed the price of the phone, and leaker Jon Prosser has revealed the colours and sale date of the phone.
Google Pixel 7a
The Pixel 7a is said to be priced at $499 (Rs. 40,900 approx.), which is $50 more than the Pixel 6a. To remind you, the Pixel 6a was launched in India at Rs. 43,999, so we can expect the 7a to cost more.
The Pixel 6a went on sale 2 months later, in July, after it was introduced in May. However, the leaker says that the Pixel 7a will go on sale after the announcement at the I/O on May 10th. We still don’t know if this will be applicable to India as well.
Earlier rumour revealed Carbon, Cotton and Arctic Blue colours for the phone. According to the leaker, the phone will come in Charcoal, Snow and Sea (light blue). There will be a Coral colour, which will be exclusive to Google Store.
The leaker also said that Google will continue selling the Pixel 6a after the launch of the Pixel 7a.
Google Pixel Fold
The Google Pixel Fold, which will also be introduced at the I/O on May 10th will be available to pre-order on the same day through the Google Store, and through the carriers on May 30th, and will go on sale on June 27th, says the leaker.
Earlier rumours already revealed that the phone will come in Carbon and Porcelain colours. The phone is said to be priced at $1,799 (Rs. 1,47,465 approx.), according to the leaker, coinciding with earlier rumours.
We can also expect the Pixel tablet at the event powered by Tensor G2 chip, now a new rumour says that the tablet will come in four colours with the dock that is shown in the official image, and pack 8 GB of RAM, but the pricing is still a mystery. It is expected to go on sale in June.
