motorola razr 40 Ultra’s 3.5″ cover screen personalization features surface

motorola is expected to launch two new clamshell-style foldable phones later this year. We first saw renders of the upcoming motorola Razr 2023 flip phone in February. It looks like the phone will be called the Razr 40 Ultra, as confirmed by trusted leaker Evan Blass. He has also posted some high-quality renders of the phone.

The current renders match previous renders released by TechOutlook. The upcoming Razr 40 Ultra, codenamed “Juno”, differs from the 2022 version in its rear panel design.

This new model should have a larger cover display and lots of features for users to play around with. Lenovo China GM Chen Jin has confirmed 3.5-inch cover screen, bigger than the 2.7-inch screen in the razr 2022.

As per the renders, motorola is bringing various options to personalize the cover screen. Users should be able to change the display layout, fonts, colors, theme, and even the size of the outer screen.

It won’t have a camera island, and the two cameras are positioned side by side towards the top left corner of the rear panel. The LED flash is located to the right of the second camera. Further, users should also be able to hide the camera layout by reducing the size of the cover screen.

It’s great to see Motorola playing around with the cover screen, bringing lots of utilities that should let users reduce inner screen usage by constantly unfolding the smartphone.

As the name suggests, it appears the device will be the top-of-the-line one with top specifications, and Geekbench listings revealed Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 8GB of RAM for the phone.

For customers who are looking to save some bucks, but still need a flip phone, the firm is also making a lighter version with a smaller cover screen. We should know more about these upcoming foldable phones from Motorola in the coming weeks.
