After rumours, MediaTek has officially announced that the Dimensity 9200+, the company’s flagship SoC will be announced on May 10th, after the Dimensity 9200 was introduced back in November.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the main 1 x ARM Cortex-X3 prime core will be clocked at 3.35GHz compared to 3.05GHz in 9200, 3 x A715 performance cores will be clocked at 3.0GHz compared to 2.85GHz and the 4 x A510 power efficient CPU cores will be clocked at 2.0GHz compared to 1.8GHz, offering overall increase in CPU performance.
The Immortalis-G715 GPU should also get a boost in clock speeds, but the exact details are not known yet.
MediaTek promoted 1.26 million points on AnTuTu during the launch of Dimensity 9200 surpassing all current Android flagship phones. This is expected to beat that and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so it might cross 1.3 million points.
Recent rumours revealed that the iQOO Neo8 Pro that is expected sometime in late May or June will use the chip. It is also said to power the upcoming ROG Phone 7 variant and a Redmi phone. We should know the exact details when the Dimensity 9200+ goes official in a couple of weeks.
