boAt joins ONDC for customer expansion and growth

boAt has collaborated with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), an initiative by the Ministry of Commerce’s Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India.

As a result of this collaboration, consumers can now explore and purchase boAt’s diverse range of electronic products, including headphones, TWS, neckbands, smartwatches, and speakers, available on the ONDC network.

boAt’s Collaboration with ONDC for Wider Reach

ONDC is a collection of specifications created to establish open, unbundled, and interoperable networks. It is not a platform, software, intermediary, or application.

Through this collaboration, boAt aims to reach a more diverse segment of customers across several cities in India, thus unlocking the next phase of its growth.  It seeks to eliminate dependency on a single platform and provide eCommerce operational capabilities to sellers of every scale and size across India. Network Participants are responsible for stitching together the capabilities required for eCommerce, making it scalable and cost-effective.

boAt’s Commitment to Innovative and Indigenous Products

The company has partnered with global tech giants like Dolby, Qualcomm, and CEVA to design and manufacture next-generation audio and wearables in India for the global market.

boAt said that it is committed to nation-building and has closely worked with Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) companies and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to produce over 15 million units in India to date.

Commenting on the partnership, T. Koshy, MD & CEO, ONDC, said,

We are constantly onboarding new sellers on ONDC, which allows us to expand and evolve our product categories, giving customers access to an even wider range of products and services. With boAt joining our network, we have strengthened our portfolio of electronic products, and this reflects our unwavering commitment to strengthen digital commerce in India.

Speaking on the announcement, Aman Gupta, Co-founder and CMO at boAt said,

boAt’s alignment with ONDC’s core mission of enhancing the adoption and democratization of e-commerce in India is noteworthy. Joining ONDC allows boAt’s exceptional products to be more widely available and accessible on all digital platforms that use the network.
