Google Pixel Fold teased officially ahead of launch


After rumours, Google has officially started teasing the Pixel Fold, the company’s first foldable phone that will launch at the Google I/O on May 10th. The teaser shows both the front and rear displays and triple rear cameras.

The inner screen with large bezels and the camera on the top bezel is clearly shown. The teaser video also shows the hinge that should be nearly gapless. Based on rumours, the phone will get a 7.6-inch (1840 x 2208 pixels) 6:5 aspect ratio OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1450 nits peak brightness.

The teaser also shows the triple rear cameras on a camera bar that doesn’t extend to the sides like the Pixel 7 series. The phone is said to get a 48MP main camera with OIS, 10.8MP 121.1° Ultra-wide camera and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res zoom.

The Pixel Fold is also expected to feature IPX8 ratings for water resistance. The phone is expected to go on pre-order on the same day of the announcement through the Google Store, but go on sale only on June 27th.

Google will also introduce the Pixel 7a at the Google I/O which will also launch in India.
