HTC U23 Pro with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 surfaces

HTC teased a new U series phone with VIVERSE platform support last week, and it was rumoured to be U23 Pro. Now, the engineering sample of the phone has surfaced in Taiwan, revealing most specifications of the phone.

Geekbench listing already revealed Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM and Android 13. This reveals that there will also be a 8GB RAM version and 256GB of storage.

It is said to pack a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and it shows a smaller punch-hole compared to the Desire 21 Pro. The phone will have a 108MP rear camera with OIS along with 3 more cameras which should be ultra-wide, depth and macro cameras, similar to most other phones. The phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The back cover and middle frame of the phone are made of plastic, and the design looks similar to most other mid-range Android phones. It shows that the phone will have a 4600mAh battery, but the final number is expected to be 4500mAh. It will also support wireless charging.

The HTC U23 Pro is expected to be introduced sometime later this month in Taiwan and few more markets.
