After teasers and rumours, HTC has confirmed the launch of its next U series phone with VIVERSE platform support on May 18th. The teaser shows the screen of the phone which reveals the centre punch-hole faintly, coinciding with earlier leaks.
Geekbench listing revealed that it will be the HTC U23 Pro powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, packing 12GB RAM and running Android 13. The phone is also said to come in 8GB RAM version with 256GB of storage.
A recent leak of the engineering sample revealed that the phone will pack 108MP rear camera with OIS along with 3 more cameras which should be ultra-wide, depth and macro cameras, similar to most other phones.
It also revealed that the phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone is said to pack a 120Hz AMOLED screen, plastic back cover and middle frame and a 4500mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
We should know the price of the phone and the complete specifications when it goes official next week.
