motorola edge 40 with 6.55″ 144Hz OLED display, Dimensity 8020, IP68 ratings launching in India on May 23


motorola just confirmed the launch of edge 40, the company’s next mid-range smartphone in the new edge 40 series in India on May 23rd, after it was introduced earlier this month.

It is the world’s slimmest phone with IP68 ratings, and the world’s first phone to use MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, says the company. But the 8020 is a rebranded Dimensity 1100 which was introduced back in 2021.

The company has confirmed 8GB + 256GB version and 14 5G bands. It will be available in Eclipse Black with an acrylic back, as well as Nebula Green and Lunar Blue with a vegan leather back in India.
