Samsung is expected to refresh its Galaxy Tab lineup with the launch of the Tab S9 series. The top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s key specifications surfaced online last month. More information regarding the tablet, as well as comprehensive renderings, have now surfaced online.
According to renders by @OnLeaks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will have the same design language as its predecessor. The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will sport a metal unibody finish on the rear and a dual-camera configuration with an LED flash similar to the S series smartphones.
On the bottom, there will be a speaker grille and a USB Type-C port. The power and volume buttons will be located on the right side of the tablet. The left side of the tablet will feature Pogo connector pins for connecting an additional keyboard.
The renderings also reveal that the gadget will have a notch display and uniformly thicker side bezels. The 14.6-inch WQXGA+ (2960 x 1848-pixel) AMOLED display of the Tab S9 Ultra is touted to feature a 120% DCI-P3 color gamut. It should be the same size as its predecessor, measuring 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5 mm. However, the device’s weight has increased by 11g to 737g.
The tablet should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy chipset with up to 16GB of RAM, according to Geekbench listings. It boasts peak speeds of up to 3.36 GHz, compared to 3.2 GHz in the conventional Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The tablet will launch Android 13 with the One UI 5.1 skin on top. The Tab S9 Ultra is said to be water and dust resistant, with an IP68 classification. The tablet should feature a huge, 11200mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities.
Other tablet features that could be included are S Pen support, dual speakers with Sound by AKG, 5G connectivity, and more. More information regarding the official launch should be available in the coming months.
