As TWS has expanded its market share in India, the number of new Bluetooth neckbands introduced has declined drastically. Despite this, some people like neckbands over TWS because they are more convenient for users who are constantly on the move. So, the newly announced TEMPT Rush is worth a look if you’re searching for a neckband for less than Rs. 1000.
It was released earlier this month with impressive specs like 10mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.2, and a Qualcomm CSR 8635 chipset, and it claims to have a battery life of up to 35 hours. So, how do these specs transfer into real-world performance? Let’s check out in this full review.

Design and Build Quality
The headset is made entirely of plastic and feels lightweight when worn. The band around your neck is flexible, lightweight, and has a smooth texture. The cable connecting the neckband and earbuds appears to be fragile, which is understandable given the price. So it’s advisable to use it carefully.
When not in use, the earphones’ magnetic back snaps together. When snapped together, the magnet is too weak and does not provide functionality such as automatic pause.
There is a small ear fin that latches into your ear, ensuring that the earbuds fit perfectly and do not slip out easily, even when jogging. Please bear in mind that you must adjust to the offered eartip size because no alternate eartip for different ear sizes has been provided, which is a major disappointment.
A micro-USB charging connector is located on the right side and is protected by a flap. All the buttons are on the same side, including a power/multi-function button between the volume adjustment buttons. There is also a little LED indicator that illuminates green and red. It can endure sweat and light rain thanks to its IPX7 classification, but it cannot be submerged in water.

Connectivity and Pairing
The Bluetooth headset supports Bluetooth 5.2, so you can connect it to Android, iOS, and other devices with Bluetooth support. It pairs with your phone quickly, just by pressing the multi-function button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. You just have to select “Tempt Rush” to pair the headset. This neckband doesn’t offer dual pairing.
Audio and Call Quality
In terms of audio quality, TEMPT Rush’s 10mm speaker is fairly ordinary. The audio it provides is excessively loud, even at 30–40% volume levels. Songs should have clear vocals and adequate bass. This also has AAC codec support. At higher volume levels, the audio quality tends to suffer from distortion.
The earbuds function admirably in terms of call quality, thanks to the all-new Qualcomm CSR 8635 chipset. It provides enough noise isolation and voice clarity during calls. Notably, the vibration alert for calls and texts makes it a practical hands-free choice for commutes and other transit-related activities.
There is no low-latency gaming mode, thus there is some delay when playing games, but it is adequate for video streaming.
Battery Life
The battery capacity of the neckband has not yet been revealed by the company. However, the battery life is said to be around 35 hours. With AAC on and volume set to between 40% and 50%, I was able to get over 20 hours of use. Do note that I streamed music continuously on the neckband and attended to 1 hour of calling. The battery life may vary depending on usage, calling, and listening level.
It takes roughly 1.5 hours on a 10W charger to fully charge the headset. At this price point, the lack of fast charging support is understandable.
Conclusion
Overall, the TEMPT Rush is a decent neckband headset for the price of Rs. 649, despite stiff competition from Boult Audio, ZEBRONICS, and others in the price range. It will fit you if you prefer streaming music at lower volume levels, but it will not suit bass fans.
